Craftwork Design — premium design resource marketplace

About

Craftwork started in 2015 as a small WordPress shop selling a handful of design resources. What began as a side project gradually turned into a full-scale marketplace. We outgrew WordPress, rebuilt everything on a custom engine, added an author commission system, launched Pro Access subscriptions, and shipped tools that plug directly into the designer’s workflow — a Figma plugin and an MCP server for AI-powered asset discovery.

Today, Craftwork serves 350,000+ users and offers one of the largest curated libraries of production-ready design assets on the market.

What We Built

  • 2,700+ premium assets — illustrations, UI kits, Framer and Webflow templates, mockups, fonts, icons, Notion templates, and more.
  • Pro Access — a single subscription that unlocks the entire library with a commercial license included. Over 4,000 subscriptions sold.
  • Figma Plugin — browse the full asset library and insert resources directly into Figma without leaving the editor.
  • MCP Server — connect Craftwork to AI tools like Claude, search assets by style or context, and attach design packs programmatically.
  • Author marketplace — a commission-based system that lets designers publish and sell their own assets through the platform.
  • Blank Design System — a modular design system for Figma, Webflow, and Framer that became one of the best-selling products in the catalog.
  • Inspiration library — a curated collection of websites and UI sections, updated daily.

Platform Evolution

  1. 2015 — WordPress era. Launched as a simple WooCommerce shop with a small catalog of UI kits and illustrations. Proved the market, built an audience on Dribbble and Instagram.
  2. 2018 — Custom engine. Rebuilt the entire platform from scratch. Introduced author onboarding, automated payouts, and a content pipeline supporting daily releases.
  3. 2021 — Pro Access & scale. Launched the subscription model, tripwire funnels, and lead magnets. Scaled the newsletter to 250,000+ subscribers.
  4. 2024 — AI integrations. Shipped the MCP server and Figma plugin, connecting the asset library to modern AI-powered design workflows.
